SsangYong Motor Company is the fourth biggest SouthKorean automobile manufacturer. The company was founded as Hadonghwan Motor Company in 1954 and started by building jeeps for the US Army. Beginning in 1976, the company created a variety of special purpose vehicles.

Ssangyong RextonIn 2003 Ssangyong’s Rexton first introduced as the Korean company’s MPV entrant with part-time 4WD standard across the range. Recently the Rexton is exclusively 2.7-litre five-cylinder turbodiesel powered, giving the choice of five-speed manual or sequential auto transmissions and with a seating capacity of seven passengers in Sports or Limited trim. The engine develops 121kW/340Nm in sports form.  Ssangyong’s top model includes Sports version standard gear, dual front airbags, ABS, automatic control, 18-inch alloys, four-speaker CD audio and cruise control [auto only].
