Hummer

Hummer is a brand of off-road vehicles sold by General Motors (GM). Hummers were originally built by AM General Corporation, which was formerly AMC Jeep’s General Products division, in its Mishawaka, Indiana assembly plant. They were created under a contract for the United States armed forces. The Hummers made the trip with ease, for they were built to drive on off-road terrain.

Hummer H3 Adventure Review

Hummer H3 Adventure

The Hummer is, to paraphrase Saddam Hussein, the mother of all 4WDs. This big, brutal off-roader apologises for nothing except that it’s not quite as big and brutal as you might think compared to other heavy-duty 4WDs. But it’s certainly more at home off road than in the burbs. The dual-range 4WD Hummer offers a five-speed manual or a four-speed auto and is powered by a 180kW/328Nm 3.7-litre five-cylinder engine. The Adventure version adds a lower-geared transfer case, locking rear differential, extra underbody protection, six-disc CD stacker, seven speakers, powered, heated front seats and leather trim to base specification.
